The BC SPCA Prince George Spay Neuter Clinic is recruiting for a Client Care Representative (CCR). As a member of our busy Prince George's team, the successful candidate must be adaptable, positive, and have a true passion for animals and animal care experience in a professional setting. This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service to clients of the practice and ensuring that client communication and interactions run smoothly. This position answers all incoming phone calls and email communications and acts as the primary greeter when a client enters the hospital.
Additionally, CCRs contribute to the operations of the practice by scheduling appointments, answering the telephone, setting up medical records for new clients and patients, preparing and maintaining medical records, admitting and discharging patients, filling some prescriptions, processing financial transactions, general administration, and office/front area maintenance. This position also acts as the initial source of information to clients on topics such as, but not limited to vaccinations, basic lab tests, common diseases, basic pet behaviour, low stress and fear free handling, and over the counter diets and products.
You have a love of working with people and animals in a veterinary setting, and have a history of excellent communication and a strong ability to multitask. You will maintain the appearance and cleanliness of the waiting room and reception area and communicate with the public in an effective, courteous and non-judgemental manner. Computer and telephone skills are a must; however, the job may also perform varied duties in the hospital, including assisting with outpatient appointments or serving as surgical assistants and a variety of other jobs within the clinic on an as-needed basis.
You are an enthusiastic self-starter who can work independently as well as part of a team. Your motivation is a job well done. You have excellent people skills, along with the ability and desire to work in a fast-paced environment. You are committed to excellent attendance, providing the highest standard of patient and client care.
