Nova Scotia Health is currently accepting applications for Physician Assistant in variety of clinical and community settings. These exciting new positions with Nova Scotia Health are assisting in transforming healthcare delivery and patient care throughout our province. As a member of the team, the Physician Assistant (PA) will report to the Primary Supervising Surgeon and functions within a dynamic collaborative care team. Under the supervision of a surgeon/physician, the PA will provide general medical and surgical care to patients with a wide variety of traumatic injuries, acute conditions, and elective surgical disorders.
As a member of the Emergency Department (ED) team, the Physician Assistant (PA) will report to the Primary Supervising Emergency Physician and provide assessment and care to patients presenting to the Emergency Department (ED).

As part to the Nova Scotia Health (NSH) Physician Assistants initiative in Primary Health Care (PHC) and Department of Family Practice, the Physician Assistant (PA) will participate in an NSH and/or NSH affiliated family practice team. The PA will deliver care in accordance with NSH policies, professional standards, and care directives. The PA will perform routine clinical duties, within the PA scope of practice and under the supervision of a licensed physician in accordance with the goals and objectives of this initiative.
Positions available:
This position will offer the PA an opportunity to work to full scope of practice as outlined in the agreement between the Primary Supervising Physician and the PA.
Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

$43.9075 - $58.3398 hourly ($85,619 - $113,762 annually)
Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan. (Permanent Long Assignments Only)
Successful candidates may also be eligible for a signing bonus and relocation assistance with a defined Return of Service contract.
