We are looking for a Call Centre Officer!

As a Call Centre Officer, you are responsible for providing a high level of client service by managing a variety of incoming and outgoing telephone calls and group reservations for all services and programs offered at the Canadian Museum of History (CMH) and at the Canadian War Museum (CWM); selling and promoting CMH and CWM products and services; and responding to all inquiries.

What we are looking for:

A perfectly bilingual individual who enjoys working with the public and has strong communication skills. This person is personable, polite and diplomatic. He is also patient, persuasive and enjoys working in a team environment. 

You have at least 6 months of relevant experience in:

  • Sales and/or telephone sales (telemarketing); 
  • Interacting with a diverse clientele (e.g. teachers, tourists, etc.);
  • Working in a call centre ;
  • The use of computer software such as Microsoft Suite, database management and Galaxy ticketing system (or other similar system).
  • Group reservations (an asset).

Knowledge of:

  • Sales techniques;
  • Telephone ethics;
  • Client service practices;
  • Office/administrative tasks.

Education: High School Diploma plus one (1) year of Collegial Study or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Language: CBC imperative. We encourage all candidates to submit their application, regardless of whether they believe they meet the linguistic requirements of the position. Qualified candidates will be sent for linguistic validation.  

Compensation: E3 - $54,382 to $67,299  
Status: 1 Permanent Full-time Position (40 hours/week) and an inventory of qualified candidates to staff future vacancies for this position on permanent or temporary basis. This inventory will be active for 6 months.            
Security: Enhanced Reliability.
Location: 100, Laurier Street, Gatineau, Quebec and 1, Vimy Place, Ottawa, Ontario *This position cannot be filled virtually, and requires in-person presence.

Open to: Museum employees, external candidates and/or candidates from our inventory. Priority will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents.
