Your Role
The main role of the Customs CSR/Operator is the day to day management of customs clearances.
Your Responsibilities
- Prepare all customs clearances for different modes of transport including air, ocean , truck, rail and courier shipments. - Properly classify all imported products with Canadian HS code to apply proper duty and GST rates and be compliant with CBSA rules and regulations. - Request rush payments to third parties when applicable. - Invoice all proper invoices to clients on daily basis. Assuring that all charges are billed on one invoice to avoid additional invoices. - Answer inquiries from client's in regards to whereabouts of their shipments and ETA for delivery etc. - Prepare delivery instructions and send to various carriers when applicable. - Maintain client databases on daily bases and make sure databases are current with proper HS codes with updated new products.
Your Skills and Experiences
- Minimum 2 years experience in customs industry - CCS course - Knowledge of customs rules and regulations and day to day procedures to of customs clearances in all types and modes of transportation.
