Summary

Reporting to the Vice-President, Global Sales and under the supervision of the Marketing Demand Generation Manager, the Inside Sales Representative is responsible for generating and validating opportunities for the Regional Sales Managers by conducting phone, email and web exchanges with current and prospective XMedius clients. In this role, the job incumbent will be responding to opportunities from different marketing sources, and prospecting new clients. The job incumbent may also be the first point of contact with our potential customers; therefore, this is a position for a highly motivated, outgoing, dynamic person who wants to work in a positive team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Create a positive first impression of the company to our prospects by introducing our technology-based solutions to them in a confident and knowledgeable manner.

  • Identify customer needs to determine the appropriate follow-up actions.

  • Qualify opportunities generated by inbound marketing and trade shows using pre-established criteria, and schedule follow-up phone appointments.

  • Identify opportunities with targeted resellers and end-customers.

  • Identify cross-selling opportunities with existing resellers and the end-customer database.

  • Identify the lists to download in the Customer Relationship Management tool (CRM).

  • Update and maintain CRM information by ensuring all communications are logged and identified.

  • Acquire knowledge through self-development, including continuous and current knowledge of sales procedures and best customer service practices.

  • Generate weekly reports of sales prospecting activities.

  • Meet daily, weekly, and monthly volume and quality of opportunities targets.

  • Perform additional ad hoc tasks.

Required education and competencies

  • 1-2 years of experience in a prospection or lead generation role.
  • Bilingual in French and English (written and spoken).

  • Ability to work in fast-paced and objective-based environments.

  • Proven success in prospection/lead generation.

  • Ability to discuss with IT Administrators by phone and to overcome any objections.

  • Autonomous, ingenious, and tenacious.

  • Motivated, committed, and ability to work in a team.
