Position Overview

If creating unforgettable wellness experiences lights you up, this role is your chance to lead the magic. Under the supervision of the Spa Manager, the Rituals Manager will bring the Everwild Nordic Spa’s signature sauna rituals and wellness classes to life - blending creativity, leadership, and heart to inspire both guests and team members. You'll mentor an exceptional team, shape meaningful moments, and help create the warm, intuitive, and memorable experiences that make every visit to Everwild feel truly extraordinary.

Shifts: Full-time/Permanent. Days, evenings & weekends.

Salary:  $78K - $82K per year

Location: Canmore Alberta

Key Responsibilities 

Program Design & Innovation

  • Lead the development of Everwild’s signature sauna ritual program, classes and or workshops. 
  • Curate seasonal themes, essential oil profiles, and performance choreography.
  • Collaborate with brand and marketing teams to align rituals with seasonal campaigns and guest expectations.

Team Leadership

  • Recruit, onboard, train, and mentor a team of Wellness Ambassadors / Ritual Associates.
  • Design and deliver comprehensive training programs in ritual delivery, safety, storytelling, scent theory, and guest engagement.
  • Create and manage shift schedules that support daily rituals.

Guest Experience

  • Uphold and evolve a ritual culture focused on mindfulness, theatricality, and guest wellness.
  • Regularly observe rituals, gather guest feedback, and adjust programming accordingly.
  • Engage guests in meaningful pre and post-ritual interactions when appropriate.

Operational Oversight

  • Ensure saunas and ritual spaces are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and readiness.
  • Coordinate with site attendants and maintenance teams for fire safety, heat control, and essential oil replenishment.
  • Track equipment usage, supply inventory, and ordering of ritual-specific materials (e.g., oils, towels, buckets, fans, sound instruments, mats etc).

Compliance & Safety

  • Train staff in safety procedures for sauna environments, including fire risk management, emergency response, and temperature regulation.
  • Ensure proper handling of essential oils and other scenting materials in alignment with health guidelines.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and audits of ritual areas.

Performance Management

  • Deliver regular feedback, performance evaluations, and development opportunities for Wellness Ambassadors.
  • Set clear expectations for ritual delivery, team behavior, and guest interactions.
  • Address any guest complaints or staff performance issues in a timely and professional manner.

 

Reporting & Administration

  • Maintain records of ritual schedules, staff performance, guest feedback, and operational incidents.
  • Prepare monthly reports summarizing program updates, staff development, safety compliance, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Participate in weekly leadership meetings and collaborate with other spa department heads.

 

Requirements 

  • Experience in spa, wellness, performance arts, or hospitality leadership.
  • Experience designing or leading sauna rituals.
  • Strong understanding of aromatherapy, scent layering, and performance techniques.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team development skills.
  • Excellent guest service and communication abilities.
  • Comfortable working in high-heat environments for extended periods.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows – Outlook, Excel, Word.
  • CPR/First Aid certification required (training provided).
