They are seeking an experienced Distribution Branch Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations, sales performance, and overall success of one of their established locations. This opportunity is ideal for a proven leader who enjoys driving business growth, developing high-performing teams, and taking ownership of operational performance. This position requires a hands-on leader who can balance strategic planning with day-to-day operational execution while fostering a positive, accountable workplace culture.
Duties and Responsibilities: The key job functions are: Lead the overall performance of the branch, ensuring operational excellence and achievement of sales and profitability objectives. Develop and execute strategic plans to grow revenue, strengthen customer relationships, and expand market presence. Manage the branch’s profit and loss performance, budgets, forecasting, and overall financial results. Build, mentor, coach, and develop an existing team across administration, customer service, sales, and warehouse operations. Foster a collaborative, positive workplace culture while maintaining clear performance expectations and accountability. Oversee daily branch operations to ensure orders are processed accurately, inventory is effectively managed, and customer expectations are consistently exceeded. Develop and maintain relationships with key customers, providing exceptional service and identifying opportunities for continued business growth. Monitor market conditions, competitor activity, and industry trends to support strategic decision-making and maintain a competitive position. Collaborate with corporate leadership and cross-functional teams to implement company initiatives and achieve organizational objectives. Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety standards, and operational best practices. Prepare reports, forecasts, and business plans to support ongoing branch performance and future growth. Perform additional leadership and operational responsibilities as required.
Education: Post-secondary education in Business, Commerce, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline is considered an asset. Equivalent combinations of education and progressive leadership experience will also be considered.
Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive management or senior leadership experience. Previous experience within a distribution, wholesale, industrial supply, or related industry is required. Experience overseeing sales, operations, customer service, and warehouse functions is strongly preferred. Previous responsibility for branch financial performance, budgeting, or profit and loss management is considered a significant asset.
Skills: Strong leadership and people management abilities. Strategic sales and business development expertise. Operational planning and process improvement skills. Financial and commercial acumen. Exceptional relationship-building and customer service abilities. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. Strong organizational and time management skills. Effective coaching, mentoring, and performance management capabilities. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with corporate leadership. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general business software.
Base Salary: $100k+ per year Salary based on experience Bonus and commission structure in place Full benefits package provided
Work Hours: Monday to Friday 40 hours per week
Additional Notes: This opportunity does not include relocation. It will be the responsibility of the candidate should relocation be required. All applicants must be authorized to work in Canada to be considered for employment.
