About the role

GMI Wheels is a Langley, BC-based Mining and Heavy Equipment wheel manufacturer seeking a *Customer Service Representative *(CSR) to join our sales team in a junior role.

The CSR is a full-time, in-office *position *that answers customer inquiries, issues quotes / orders, provides production or shipping updates to customers. The CSR also assists with some Sales and Marketing activities as needed.

Successful applicants are _willing to take initiative _beyond the ?send email and wait? mentality, have good task management, are adept at managing priorities based on Customer needs, possess excellent spoken and written English, and bring a personable, attentive communication style. Duties

  • Receiving calls and emails from Sales staff and Customers, and promptly responding with information, updates or quote / order entry.
  • Routinely following up with Sales staff and Customers on outstanding quotes or information requests.
  • Proactively monitoring in-progress orders and updating Sales staff and Customers by attending production meetings, reviewing the production schedule and shipment tracking.
  • Communicating timelines and production requirements to the Production and Engineering departments on behalf of Sales staff and Customers to determine order lead times.
  • Liasing between company branches on pricing and lead time inquiries.
  • Assistance with Sales and Marketing tasks such as price list creation and maintenance, updating contact data and content distribution.

Experience

  • 2 Years in a Customer Service or Inside Sales role within a technical, manufacturing or shop environment. Experience in another industry will be considered if the applicant's current / past roles and responsibilities are sufficiently outlined in the resume.
  • Mechanical aptitude or intuition is strongly recommended.
  • Experience with ERP / MRP computer software systems is desired.

Requirements

  • Good computer aptitude and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) knowledge.
  • Comfort and familiarity of using a phone as primary communication method.
  • Clear, professional communication that adapts based on the audience.
  • Excellent verbal and written English.

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
