Licensed Veterinarian — Online Consults (Remote, Canada) About Petolina: Petolina is a Canadian, neighbourhood-first pet platform that connects pet owners with the people who care for their animals — sitters, a pet marketplace, a lost-&-found network, and licensed veterinarians offering online video consults. We're building the transparent, community-owned alternative to the big telehealth players: your own patients, your own rate, your own city. The role Take video-first consults with pet owners in the provinces you're licensed in — on your schedule. Great fit for a vet who wants to add flexible telemedicine income around clinical hours, or work fully remote. You'll handle things like: General wellness questions, triage, and follow-ups Second opinions on diagnoses or treatment plans Behaviour, nutrition, senior-pet, dermatology, dental and other specialty consults (list the specialties you take) Optional on-call emergency live chat — flip yourself "on-call" for a 4-hour window and take urgent owner questions Optional community contribution: answer questions in the free Ask-a-Vet Q&A and publish short articles Out of scope (by design): controlled substances and anything requiring an in-person VCPR under your province's rules. When telemedicine isn't appropriate, you refer to a local clinic. What you get Set your own rate. List every province/territory you're licensed in — we only show you to owners in matching jurisdictions and enforce that boundary on every booking. Continuity of care. Owners can rebook the same vet they trust, and you can advertise your in-person clinic on your public profile. Requirements Active veterinary licence in at least one Canadian province or territory (verified against an uploaded licence document before you go live) Current professional malpractice/liability insurance covering telemedicine (you carry and maintain your own) Reliable internet, a private space, and a device with camera/mic for video consults Comfort practising within each province's telemedicine/VCPR rules Professional, owner-friendly communication Terms This is an independent-contractor role — you're a self-employed provider on Petolina, not an employee. All consults and payments go through the platform (no off-platform arrangements). You're responsible for your own advice, licensing compliance, and taxes.
