This position focuses on assisting customers in selecting appropriate window coverings, including blinds, shades, and related products, based on style, functionality, and budget. Day-to-day tasks include greeting customers in the showroom, providing product demonstrations, preparing quotes, and explaining installation options. The specialist will take measurements, coordinate orders, track inventory related to window coverings, and follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction. The role also involves maintaining product displays, updating sample books, collaborating with teammates on store operations, and adhering to company policies and safety standards. Qualifications Customer service and sales skills, with the ability to listen to client needs and provide clear, helpful recommendations. Basic knowledge of window coverings, interior décor, or home improvement products, or a strong willingness to learn these areas. Attention to detail and accuracy in measuring windows, preparing quotes, and processing orders. Comfort working on-site in a retail environment, including standing for extended periods and handling light physical tasks. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work collaboratively with a small team. Organizational skills to manage multiple customer requests, follow up on orders, and maintain tidy displays. Basic computer skills for using point-of-sale systems, email, and simple order-entry or scheduling tools. Previous retail, showroom, or customer-facing experience is an asset; experience with window coverings or paint products is a plus.
