Peterson is seeking a Leasing Representative to cover a maternity leave position at our Head Office in Vancouver. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering an exceptional leasing experience by supporting prospective and existing tenants throughout the leasing process while ensuring seamless coordination between Leasing and Property Management. You will play an integral role in marketing available space, coordinating tenant and broker communications, preparing leasing documentation, and supporting leasing initiatives across Peterson's commercial portfolio. This position is ideal for a highly organized and customer-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building strong relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service to prospective and existing tenants, brokers, and internal stakeholders while maintaining positive and professional relationships.
- Coordinate and conduct property showings with prospective tenants and leasing brokers, ensuring vacant suites are presented to a high standard.
- Perform regular building walkthroughs and recommend improvements to vacant suites and common areas to enhance marketability.
- Create and maintain accurate leasing plans, brochures, online listings, and other marketing materials for available space.
- Coordinate with the Marketing team to promote new lease transactions through social media and assist with email marketing campaigns.
- Prepare lease proposals using standard templates and provide administrative support to the Leasing team throughout the leasing process.
- Maintain broker contact lists and assist with the planning and execution of leasing events, including invitations, presentations, signage, and vendor coordination.
- Conduct market research across relevant commercial real estate asset classes to support leasing strategies.
- Coordinate minor Landlord's Work projects, including obtaining pricing, scheduling access, and communicating with tenants and internal stakeholders.
- Support additional leasing initiatives and special projects assigned.
What You Bring
- High school diploma; post-secondary education in Business, Real Estate, Marketing, or a related field is considered an asset.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience providing administrative or customer service support, preferably within a commercial real estate or office environment.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign and Illustrator) is considered an asset.
- Previous leasing or commercial real estate experience is an asset.
- Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare professional correspondence and leasing documentation.
- Strong project and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- A proactive, customer-focused approach with the ability to build positive working relationships with tenants, brokers, contractors, and internal teams.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.
Salary Range: $65,000 - $72,000 annually, based on experience.
