As a Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating vehicles to transport goods and materials to various destinations, including customer facilities, vendor locations, and job sites. You will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and customer service. This position offers the opportunity to work independently while collaborating with a supportive team committed to excellence and operational efficiency.Operate vehicles safely and in full compliance with all applicable traffic laws, provincial Ministry of Transportation regulations, and company policiesPlan and execute efficient delivery routes to multiple destinations, ensuring timely arrivals and professional servicePerform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting any mechanical issues and reporting them promptly to managementLoad and unload vehicles carefully, securing all cargo properly to prevent damage or shifting during transitDeliver materials to designated locations and obtain necessary signatures and documentation from receiving partiesCommunicate effectively with customers and vendors to resolve shipping discrepancies quickly and professionallyMaintain accurate driver logs and delivery records, ensuring all documentation is completed thoroughly and on timeUnderstand and comply with shipping documents, including hazardous materials regulations where applicableRemain calm and respond effectively to unexpected situations or challenges that may arise during deliveriesSupport team members and contribute to a collaborative, inclusive work environmentPerform additional tasks as assigned by management to support operational goalsQualifications**Required Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalentValid D/Z driver's license with a clean driving record demonstrating safe driving practicesKnowledge of traffic laws and regulations governing motor vehiclesAbility to safely operate and maneuver vehicles of various sizesStrong relationship-building and interpersonal skills with customers, vendors, and colleaguesExcellent time management and organizational skillsAbility to remain composed and function effectively in stressful or unexpected situationsPhysical capability to load, unload, and secure cargo safelyProficiency in basic vehicle maintenance awareness and pre-trip inspection proceduresStrong communication skills, both written and verbalPreferred Qualifications:**Previous experience driving commercial vehicles or making deliveriesFamiliarity with transportation regulations and hazardous materials handlingProficiency with computer applications including Word, Excel, and email softwareKnowledge of local geography and route optimizationExperience with material handling equipment operationIndustry-specific product knowledgeAdditional InformationSalary Range - EMCO is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to maintaining a discrimination, harassment, and barrier free workplace where all employees can contribute to their fullest potential.
