Work That Matters, People Who Care.Job DescriptionJob SummaryThe General Helper supports daily operations within retail food service outlets by assisting with food preparation, stocking, cleaning, customer service, and maintaining food safety standards. This role helps ensure smooth operations across multiple retail brands while delivering excellent guest service in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with basic food preparation and assemblyServe customers in a friendly and professional mannerRefill beverages, condiments, grab-and-go items, and suppliesMaintain cleanliness of counters, dining areas, kitchen, and equipmentFollow FIFO, portion control, and food safety proceduresSupport cash handling and POS operations when requiredWash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipmentAssist with receiving and stocking deliveriesMonitor product freshness and report low inventory itemsSupport opening and closing duties of the unitFollow company policies, health & safety, and sanitation standardsWork collaboratively with team members and supervisorsWorking ConditionsFast-paced retail food environmentStanding for extended periodsExposure to hot equipment, cleaning chemicals, and kitchen environmentsMay work across multiple branded outlets such as coffee shops, grab-and-go stations, or quick service restaurantsQualificationsPrevious food service or retail experience is an assetStrong customer service and communication skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbsTeam-oriented with a positive attitudeBasic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practicesBasic Food Safety Certification and Allergen Awareness Certification are required, or candidates must be willing to obtain them upon hiringFlexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays if requiredAdditional InformationWHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?Be part of an industry that's more important than ever!Career advancement opportunities.Whereas other companies are downsizing, we are growing!Be #1 on day 1 by joining an industry leader.Dexterra Group is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
