WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

Position Summary

The Regional Application Specialist – Automotive Aftermarket serves as the technical expert for our automotive aftermarket product portfolio and industrial markets. This role supports customers, distributors, body shops, and sales teams through product demonstrations, application training, troubleshooting, and technical consultation. The successful candidate will help drive business growth by ensuring customers achieve optimal product performance and by identifying opportunities to expand the use of our solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct hands-on product demonstrations and training sessions for customers, distributors, and end users. Provide technical support and application expertise for automotive refinishing products and systems. Assist customers in troubleshooting product and application issues, recommending effective solutions. Support sales representatives in customer visits, product trials, and business development activities. Develop and maintain strong relationships with body shops, distributors, and key accounts. Document customer interactions, product evaluations, and field activities using company reporting tools. Stay current on industry trends, customer needs, and competitive products. Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and quality requirements.

Qualifications

College diploma, trades certifications or Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent industry experience. Excellent presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills. Ability to perform hands-on product demonstrations and training. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems. Self-motivated with strong organizational and time-management skills. Valid driver's license and ability to travel within the assigned territory.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with automotive paint, abrasives, adhesives, sealants, or related aftermarket products. Previous technical service, training, or field application experience. Knowledge of distributor and body shop operations.

Work environment

Remote within Ontario Up to 75% of travelling

Certain provinces require pay information be provided in job postings. Saint-Gobain aims to deliver a comprehensive Total Rewards package to support our employees’ wellbeing and help improve daily life for themselves and their families. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates, the base pay range for this position is 70,000 to $85,000 per year. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is up to 25% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is discretionary.
