Position Overview

At The Corporation of Massey Hall and Roy Thomson Hall, ticketing is more than a transaction. It is part of how audiences discover events, how clients bring shows to market, and how unforgettable live experiences come together.

The Ticketing Services Coordinator supports that work from the inside out, coordinating ticketed events from initial setup and on-sale through reporting, night-of-show activity, and final settlement. As a key contact for clients and internal teams, this role helps ensure event details, pricing, holds, presales, inventory, and reporting are accurate, timely, and clearly communicated.

The right candidate is organized, detail-focused, service-minded, and energized by the pace of live events. They bring care to the details, confidence with systems, and a clear understanding that excellent ticketing supports audiences, clients, revenue, and successful event delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Event Setup and Ticketing Coordination

  • Coordinate ticketing setup with external clients and internal teams, including announcement details, on-sale dates, pricing, fees, presales, offers, service charges, holds, and other event requirements.
  • Build and maintain events in Tessitura and, when required, Ticketmaster.
  • Work with Marketing to support accurate and timely online event content.
  • Coordinate secondary ticket sales with clients or external venue ticketing services, including related accounts receivable allocations.

Sales, Inventory, and Reporting

  • Manage internal and external ticket holds, allocations, and inventory.
  • Monitor event sales and provide recommendations to support sales advancement and revenue opportunities.
  • Build and maintain accounts and process paid and complimentary ticket orders as required.
  • Prepare event reporting as requested, including daily sales reports.

Event, Client, and Customer Support

  • Act as a key ticketing contact for clients, internal teams, and event stakeholders.
  • Provide ticketing coordination for assigned subscription and series events.
  • Support customer service resolution, including assisting Customer Service Representatives and escalating issues when required.
  • Oversee night-of-show ticketing activity, including settlement and accurate reporting to internal and external clients.

Process and Team Support

  • Work with the Ticketing Services team to improve operational processes, policies, procedures, ticketing software updates, and settlement practices.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some post-secondary education preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of ticketing experience.
  • Experience with subscription or series events is considered an asset.
  • Experience in the arts, entertainment, or live events industry is considered an asset.
  • Experience with a relational database, preferably Tessitura, is considered an asset.
  • Strong customer service skills, with a commitment to a high-quality patron and client experience.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing deadlines and priorities.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working with ticketing systems, event information, reports, and data.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Team-oriented, with the ability to work independently.
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and detail-focused.
  • Flexible to work days, evenings, and weekends as required based on business needs.

Work Conditions:

  • Interacts regularly with colleagues, customers and clients by phone, email, and in person.
  • This is a hybrid role with working environment across home, office, and multiple venue environments, including live event settings.
  • Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and occasional travel as required by programming needs.
  • Travel between venues may be required.

   Additional Information (if applicable): This is a hybrid role based in Toronto with a combination of remote work and on-site presence at Massey Hall, Roy Thomson Hall, and Allied Music Centre. Some evening and weekend availability will be required depending on event schedules.
