

Receptionist/ Office Manager (Maternity Leave)
About the role
Job Summary As Church Office Manager and Receptionist, you will maintain effective administrative systems that support collaboration across Peace Portal’s ministries. You will also provide a warm, welcoming presence for all visitors and ensure the office runs smoothly through efficient daily operations, well-managed resources, and excellence in shared spaces. Person Summary Is engaged in a growing relationship with Jesus, and a love for His Church Attends, or is willing and able to attend Peace Portal as ‘Home Church’ Seeks to live out Peace Portal’s “Call to Kingdom Excellence“ Is aligned with Peace Portal’s “Mission, Vision, Values” A teachable team player with the ability to be led A dependable and responsible self-starter able to work with time constraints, meet deadlines, and ensure accurate follow-through Is a warm and engaging person with good people skills Is adjustable and dynamic, willing to help where needed most A detail oriented individual gifted in planning, administration, organization, and the execution of tasks A collaborative and efficient problem solver with the ability to streamline processes Responsibilities Oversee general office administration, including record trackingMaintain church database in collaboration with staff Support Lead Pastor and Ministry Operations Pastor (meetings, onboarding, confidential tasks) Coordinate administrative coverage for pastoral needs Assist with staff functions and church events Manage office budget, reconciliations, and equipment leases Handle phone, email, and visitor inquiries promptly and professionally Maintain clean, organized office and common spaces Ensure supplies are stocked and equipment is functional Manage shipping/receiving and staff kitchen upkeep Skills & Experience Demonstrates excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Proven experience working with Microsoft Office Suite Demonstrates attention to detail and superior organizational skills Experience overseeing general office operations, lease agreements, and budgets Experience with database management an asset Effective at delegating tasks to appropriate team members or volunteers 3-5 years’ experience in office management preferred
