In this role, you will be the backbone of our warehouse operations, ensuring that products are received, organized, picked, packed, and shipped with precision and care. You will work collaboratively with teammates to maintain an efficient, safe, and organized warehouse environment while delivering exceptional service to our customers. If you take pride in accuracy, value teamwork, and are committed to safety, we want to hear from you!Receive, verify, and process incoming vendor shipments and customer returns by obtaining packing slips, checking for discrepancies, and noting any damaged materialsEnter received materials into the computer system and print verification documents to ensure accurate inventory recordsPick materials for customer orders, carefully counting and comparing items against shipping documentation to guarantee order accuracyPack and assemble materials appropriately for pickup or shipment, ensuring products are protected and ready for deliveryLoad and unload trucks safely and efficiently, operating forklifts and other material handling equipment in compliance with all safety protocolsComplete all required documentation for third-party carrier shipments and Transportation of Dangerous Goods materialsIdentify and properly store special order items and damaged materials in designated locationsNote shipping discrepancies on freight carrier Bills of Lading, initiate freight claims, and forward documentation to the appropriate team memberMaintain warehouse cleanliness and safety by removing empty cartons, metal banding, pallets, and other debrisCommunicate promptly with supervisors regarding inventory discrepancies, damaged materials, and any safety concerns that could impact customer serviceAssist teammates in serving customers at the counter when neededFollow all health, safety, and regulatory requirements while performing job functionsPerform additional tasks as requested by management to support warehouse operationsQualifications**Required Qualifications:High school diploma (Grade 12) or equivalentMinimum 1 year of warehouse or material handling experienceOutstanding customer service and verbal communication skillsHigh level of attention to detail with the ability to accurately process orders and verify materialsIntermediate math skills for counting, measuring, and inventory verificationAbility to learn and safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipmentAbility to learn and operate applicable warehouse management software systemsPhysical capability to lift, carry, and move materials regularly throughout the shiftStrong commitment to workplace safety and compliance with all health and safety regulationsReliable attendance and punctualityAbility to work collaboratively within a team environmentPreferred Qualifications:**Forklift certification or previous forklift operation experiencePrevious experience with or knowledge of plumbing and building productsProficiency with software systems such as Trend, Eclipse, Word, Excel, and OutlookExperience with warehouse inventory management systemsPrevious experience in a fast-paced warehouse or distribution center environmentAdditional InformationEMCO is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to maintaining a discrimination, harassment, and barrier free workplace where all employees can contribute to their fullest potential.
