About The Role

This role will be responsible for developing, enhancing, supporting, and maintaining business applications, including both custom-developed and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) solutions. The successful candidate will troubleshoot and resolve complex application and integration issues, implement application enhancements, participate in system upgrades and deployments, and create and maintain technical documentation. Working collaboratively with business stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams, this role will ensure enterprise applications remain secure, reliable, and aligned with business needs.

In addition, you will also be responsible for monitoring application performance, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, and delivering high-quality technical support to ensure the stability, availability, and optimal performance of systems that support healthcare delivery across Saskatchewan.

Participation in a rotating on-call schedule is required. As part of a 24/7 support model, support analysts are expected to respond to priority service disruptions outside of regular business hours.

What You’ll Do

Reporting To The Manager, Business Application Services, You Will

Develop, enhance, deploy, support, and maintain applications, including both custom-developed and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) solutions. Troubleshoot and resolve complex application, integration, and interface issues to ensure system stability, reliability, and performance. Implement application enhancements, software updates, and code changes while adhering to established change management and deployment processes. Participate in all phases of the application lifecycle, including requirements analysis, development, testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), deployments, and production support. Collaborate with business stakeholders, vendors, project teams, and technical support teams to deliver high-quality application services and technology solutions. Develop and maintain technical documentation, knowledge articles, support procedures, and user guides to support ongoing operations and knowledge sharing. Monitor application performance, identify opportunities for optimization, and recommend improvements to enhance system reliability and operational efficiency. Provide timely incident resolution, problem management, and service request fulfillment while delivering exceptional customer service. Contribute to the continuous improvement of enterprise applications and support processes through innovation, collaboration, and best practices.

What You’ll Bring to the Team

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Minimum 3 years of experience as an Application Support Analyst or a similar role within an integrated support environment. Experience developing, enhancing, deploying, supporting, and maintaining enterprise applications throughout the application lifecycle. Experience working with Microsoft .NET technologies (e.g., .NET Framework, C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET), JavaScript, CSS, HTML, XML, and related web technologies. Knowledge of database concepts, relational data modeling, database performance tuning, and experience writing SQL and/or PL/SQL scripts. Experience reviewing and interpreting technical documentation, application architecture, interface specifications, and system integrations. Experience working with Windows and Linux operating systems, enterprise applications, and real-time interfaces and integrations. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, documentation, and customer service skills. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, and deliver high-quality technical solutions in a fast-paced environment. Experience supporting Oracle APEX applications and healthcare information systems would be considered an asset.
