As we expand our service department to include a new line of hybrid and electric vehicles, we're excited to welcome an experienced Automotive Service Technician to our dynamic team. Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Automotive Service Technician (310S) to join our growing Volvo Cars service team. You will have the opportunity to work in an organization that embraces LEAN principles, emphasizing continuous improvement, attention to detail, and precision in delivering top-quality results. Compensation: Guaranteed Hours: 70 hours of guaranteed floor time during the onboarding process. What We Offer: We work Monday to Friday from 07:30 am - 05:15 pm. No weekends. State-of-the-Art Facility: Our service department is equipped with cutting-edge diagnostic equipment, well-maintained tools, and a special tool room to support high-quality repairs. Our facility features bright, spacious work areas with air conditioning, radiant heaters above every bay, and built-in toolboxes to ensure a comfortable and productive environment. You will be provided with your own dedicated work bay, Office 365 account, and computer. Your Qualifications: Safety & Precision: You prioritize safe and healthy working procedures, with a strong focus on detail and quality. Technical Expertise: You possess a comprehensive understanding of automotive systems, with strong manual dexterity in assembling and disassembling vehicle components. Electrical Knowledge: You have a sound understanding of automotive electrical systems. Warranty & Administration: You are familiar with vehicle warranty repairs and the associated administrative requirements, including detailed repair documentation. Certification: You hold a 310S and Driver's license in good standing. Key Responsibilities: Perform efficient and accurate automotive repairs and maintenance tasks. Assemble, disassemble, and maintain vehicle components using power and hand tools. Provide exceptional customer service, interacting with clients to address their needs. Interpret schematics and technical manuals for repair guidance. Lift heavy objects as necessary during repairs. Skills & Experience: Proficiency in automotive repair and maintenance. Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems. Experience in a dealership or automotive service center is a plus. Excellent customer service skills. Competence in using power and hand tools effectively. Ability to lift heavy objects during repair work.
