About the role
Job Summary Provide a polished front-of-house experience by welcoming guests, managing reservations, and directing seating. Maintain high hospitality standards while coordinating service flow between guests and operational teams. Number of Positions 3 Main Duties Greet and welcome guests upon arrival, manage reservations, and coordinate seating assignments using reservation systems. Monitor dining room flow and adjust table rotations and waitlists to optimize service and minimize guest wait times. Supervise and support front-of-house personnel, assign duties, and provide on-the-floor guidance during service. Address guest inquiries, special requests, and complaints promptly and professionally to ensure guest satisfaction. Communicate guest needs, dietary restrictions, and timing requirements to kitchen and service staff to ensure seamless service. Maintain and update reservation logs, seating charts, and daily shift notes; assist with billing coordination as required. Requirements Secondary school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education or training in hospitality is an asset. Previous experience in a host, maître d', or other front-of-house role preferred. Familiarity with reservation and point-of-sale systems and basic computer proficiency. Strong verbal communication and customer service skills; bilingual ability (English/French) considered an asset. Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and ability to stand for extended periods. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
