About the role
Cowan Insurance Group is looking for an Account Manager Specialist to join our Personal Insurance Concierge team! This successful candidate will be reporting to the Director, Personal Insurance. The Account Manager Specialist will be responsible for working on complex accounts, providing guidance to clients with unique Insurance needs and offering expert advise. This role will have a significant impact on positive Client relationships along with providing exceptional customer service.
What you will do:
- Procuring and managing the needs of dedicated portfolio of Personal lines clients
- You will provide exceptional insurance advice to clients, be able to identify and define insurance needs, work effectively with our markets and the Concierge team
- Direct interaction with clients to foster and build relationships
- Drive multi-line approach to expend product offers to existing clients and increase overall account size
- Build and maintain strong relationships with insurance carriers and clients
- Preparation of insurance submissions, proposals and summaries of insurance where required
- Ability to manage portfolio reviews for clients to mitigate risk and make recommendations
What you will bring:
- 5+ years’ experience in Personal Insurance
- RIBO licensed, or ability to obtain
- Driven brand ambassador to drive client experience and growth
- Ability to execute and meet or exceed expectations who demonstrates leadership skills
- Team player who recognizes the benefits of collaboration with fellow team members
- High level of self-motivation, with the ability to perform effectively, with minimal supervision
- Highly developed customer service skills and strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and prioritize competing demands
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and effective communication skills
- Excellent computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, Brokerage Management System (EPIC) experience an asset
- Working towards the Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (CAIB) or Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) or Canadian Risk Manager (CRM) designations would be considered an asset
