About the role
The Bilingual Service Consultant, reporting to the Supervisor, Consulting Services (TPA), is responsible for providing service and analytics excellence to our national and international clients with Third Party Administration / Third Party Payor services.
Our Service Consultants serve as the primary contact for our clients, addressing their questions and resolving any issues related to their group insurance plan, including: Life, Extended Health Care or other group benefits.
What you will do:
- Support our Consultants and other internal partners in managing the ongoing activity for our clients
- Attend meetings with Consultants (in person and virtual)
- Resolve and address escalated client issues and inquiries along with coordinating with internal departments and /or carriers
- Provide service support to our clients and members relating to the administration of their group benefit plans
- Determine and work towards resolution of any discrepancies found within contracts, booklets, and our processes in adherence with the client’s wishes or with policy
- Proofread booklets and contracts for accuracy and ensure compliance with client’s requirements, legislation, and collective bargaining agreements
- Prepare and review a variety of reports
- Prepare and review benefit summaries, amendments, and employee presentations & communications
- Coordinate marketing submissions, including benefit comparisons and change of carrier procedures
- Draft employee announcements if required related to change in benefits programs or carrier and deliver all relevant documents
- Ensure the smooth transition of benefits to a new carrier while ensuring any client risk and exposure is mitigated
- Create and maintain procedures / internal and external material
- Use internal CRM to document client activities, attach emails, follow workflows, etc.
What you will bring:
- Minimum of three to five years of professional work experience in Group Benefits (Insurance Industry), or a similar role
- Completed post-secondary degree or a combination of equivalent professional experience and training
- Bilingual English/French written and oral communication required
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong prioritization skills and flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
- Demonstrates sound judgement, ethics and integrity
- Creative problem solver with the ability to identify issues, recommend solutions and create suitable plans for resolution
- Strong customer service and caring attitude
- Knowledge of EPIC, (CRM tool), an asset
