Key duties

  • Process refund and credit requests promptly in accordance with regulatory requirements and Air Canada policies.
  • Apply established procedures, training materials, and reference documents to complete refund and credit functions accurately.
  • Determine refund/credit eligibility using manuals, tariffs, fare rules, and pricing resources.
  • Review customer requests and conduct research to provide accurate and appropriate responses.
  • Apply relevant policies and fare rules to issue correct refunds or decline ineligible requests.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal departments and external partners.
  • Communicate with customers via email and telephone in a professional and service‑oriented manner.

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Good judgement and ability to prioritize duties/tasks
  • Proficient in multi-tasking
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel experience required
  • Ability to learn and use various industry specific computer programs
  • Travel and Tourism Diploma (asset)
  • Experience in the airline or travel industry
    • Knowledge of ticketing, fares, fare rules, and taxation (asset)
    • Tariff training
    • Familiarity with airline and city codes
    • Experience with GDS or reservation systems
  • Ability to represent the airline with professionalism, representing the best of the Air Canada brand
  • Minimum one (1) year office experience
  • Accounting knowledge, an asset
