Digital Marketing Manager Location: Toronto, ON
Onsite Flexibility: Hybrid — 3–4 days per week onsite
Contract Details Position Type: Contract Contract Duration: 12 months (with possibility of extension and conversion to FTE) Pay Rate: C$45.00–C$53.00 / Hour (CAD) Shift / Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM; standard 37.5 hrs/week (possible overtime)
Job Summary The Manager, Targeted Marketing drives sustained and profitable revenue growth through the planning, developing, and delivering of Everyday Banking marketing programs. As a member of the Marketing Planning team (within Canadian Banking Marketing), you will drive full-funnel marketing planning, and delivery of benefited campaigns that enable the Canadian Bank to achieve its strategic objectives designing and implementing global customer-first strategies across all operating countries and ensuring that creative and media agency resources are best aligned to support global and divisional needs.
Leads the execution of targeted acquisition campaigns for Everyday Banking in Canada ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed / delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a highly visible project, and be exposed to cross-functional teams, given them a chance to further their career within the bank.
Key Responsibilities Leads and drives a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader bank relationships, systems and knowledge. Accountable for deploying and measuring digital marketing and communication strategies to drive product awareness and consideration in support of sales targets for everyday banking products. Leverages deep consumer and product expertise and use of key marketing levers to effectively position and differentiate the client's everyday banking products and services amongst key target audiences to support sales targets. Plan, project manage, and execute customer driven action plans and marketing programs through agile and squad-led methodology. Monitors consumer sentiment, market conditions, competitive activity, and short-term-demand opportunities on an ongoing basis to increase agility of planning processes and flexibility of budget deployment. Analyzes, and leverages insights drawn from market research and data analysis to establish the strategic direction of benefit-led campaign briefs. Applies a deep understanding of bank-wide and business partner needs, ensuring full buy-in (agreement) and participation of multiple business, channel, and marketing partners in a highly matrixed environment. Leads and executes engagement strategies mainly focused on targeting programs across multiple owned and paid channels and promote a seamless client experience. Champions a customer first strategic approach coordinating cross functional digital teams in the creation and flawless execution of end-to-end digital marketing customer journeys, ensuring consistent messaging from one touchpoint to the other to provide an optimal brand and customer experience. Supports development and deployment of creative assets, agnostic of media channel and across all touchpoints. Champions proper usage of the client brand in Canada, in full compliance with global brand guidelines and the client's visual identity continuum under the direction of the client. Champions a high-performance environment and demonstrates a commitment to the client's values: accountability, passion, integrity and respect.
Required Skills Strong attention to detail. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities. Ability to think creatively and outside of the box. Strong communication skills; ability to influence different stakeholders. Confidence is important; ability to share ideas openly.
Preferred Skills Project Management experience working in a large/matrix organization. Experience leveraging AI tools (Copilot) for efficiency. Experience working in an agile environment.
Education Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field is desired.
Required Experience 3 years of experience planning and executing targeted (direct) marketing campaigns including strategy development, segmentation, stakeholder management, and performance analysis. 3 years of experience in driving performance growth across multiple business lines and KPIs. Previous experience working with initiatives rooted in data, segmentation, personalization campaigns, and digital marketing. Ability to stay current with email marketing, audience development and engagement best practices, strategies and standards. Strong proficiency with MS Word and Adobe (Workfront).
