About the role
Key Responsibilities Provide technical support for residential and C&I energy storage systems in Canada, including pre-sales solution support and post-sales service. Work closely with sales teams, distributors, EPCs, and installers to understand customer requirements and provide ESS solutions. Support system design, including system configuration, layouts, single-line diagrams (SLD), BOMs, and basic technical analysis. Provide remote and on-site support for installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and technical issue resolution. Ensure technical solutions comply with Canadian electrical standards, CSA requirements, and utility interconnection regulations. Deliver product training and technical presentations to customers, distributors, and installation partners. Collaborate with internal Product, R&D, and Service teams to improve customer experience and resolve technical issues.
Requirements 3+ years of experience in technical support, application engineering, system engineering, or field service within solar PV, ESS, inverter, or power electronics industries. Knowledge of residential and C&I solar-plus-storage systems and related installation practices. Ability to understand electrical drawings, SLDs, system layouts, and technical documents. Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer-facing skills. Experience working with distributors, EPCs, installers, or renewable energy partners. Familiarity with Canadian electrical standards and grid connection requirements is preferred. Fluent in English; French is a plus. Willingness to travel within Canada as required.
