West Fraser offers a range of exciting career opportunities for individuals seeking challenging and rewarding careers. The Vancouver Information Technology Group is recruiting for an Application Support Analyst in Human Capital Management (HCM).

As part of the IT department's HR Applications team, this role will provide support and analysis assistance for all technology supporting the business's HCM Human Capital Management area.

You'll Do:

  • Providing application support triage and solutions
  • Identifying opportunities for improvement with our HCM technologies
  • Partnering with the HR and Payroll teams to understand their business processes, assess end-user needs and propose system features and enhancements for increased efficiency and effectiveness
  • Gathering and documenting business requirements, create business process documentation including current and future state diagrams, identify solution gaps and design solutions, create training materials, test plans and end user documentation
  • Utilizing HCM application knowledge and expertise to recommend solutions that meet business requirements and align with corporate strategic initiatives
  • Minor report design, development, implementation, and support of BI reports
  • Applying best practices and development standards, including change management
  • Analysis of integrations, data conversion and solution architecture
  • Timeclock support, working with central payroll and onsite divisional resources
  • Knowledge of time and attendance, scheduling solutions
  • Applying and adhering to security and compliance protocols and understanding mandates such as SOX, HIPAA

You have:

  • 3-5 years of working experience as an analyst in an organization where UKG (or similar) is the system of record
  • A degree or diploma in the field of computer science or related areas
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Well established organization skills
  • A high level of motivation and energy
  • Detailed and proactive approach to work
  • Experience in any of the following would be an asset:
    • Project Management
    • User Experience Design (UX)
    • Cognos BI or Power BI reporting platforms
    • Relational databases & tools
    • SharePoint / Office 365

Compensation Package:

  • The year salary range for this position is $70,000 - $90,000, and it may vary depending on experience, education, and location.
  • Annual bonus opportunity
