Reporting to the Senior General Manager of Operations, the Operation Support Specialist is responsible for providing logistical support to the operations team at the terminal as well as facilitating processes that require administrative and operational cooperation. This role works closely with various departments to ensure compliance with contractual and operational requirements.

Tasks & Duties

  • Manage and/or assist with technical accesses and new equipment requests for both administrative and operations teams
  • Manage consumables program, and locker cleanouts
  • Ensure daily completion and submission of Equipment Test Records (ETRs) in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), internal guidelines, and client expectations
  • Foster connectedness and collaboration between administrative and operation sectors through timely communication
  • Make timely, informed, and realistic recommendations for change and implementation within scope
  • Audit, investigate and correct documents within scope while maintaining document integrity
  • Act as logistical liaison between Regional departments
  • Oversee and/or manage the Lost and Found internal process and relevant document control
  • Ensure daily completion of documents within scope while following both internal and external guidelines
  • Support Senior General Manager of Operations and Regional Manager, Administration when required
  • Assist and/or participate with internal and client-based audits
  • Other duties as required

Education & Skills Required

  • Post Secondary certification or equivalent discipline
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook, in particular)
  • Knowledge and understanding of Collective Agreements
  • Strong strategic development and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a 24/7 fast paced environment
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Excellent written, verbal and communication skills
  • Ability to excel in stressful situations
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Previous experience in Unionized environment is an asset
  • Familiarity with internal systems, such as GSKED and CATSA's LMS system is an asset
  • Bilingual in English and French is an asset
