Specific Job Description

Reporting to the Program Management director, the Program Manager Sr will be the principal point of contact for the customer and will oversee the Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) progress of CFM56 engine series.

As a Program Manager Sr, the successful candidate will assume responsibilities that includes the following efforts / tasks:

  • Monitor contractual program obligation, formulate recommendation and escalate to management as needed
  • Improve, maintain and monitor customer program metrics
  • Develop long lasting customer relationship and manage customer satisfaction
  • Work in close relation with the customer service representative, engineering, planning, operations, supply chain and finance teams and represent the voice of the customer
  • Act as a technical advisor for the customer
  • Define workscope and provide technical recommendation
  • Perform quarterly program review with customer
  • Bring innovative solution to complex commercial discussions
  • Work in close relation with the business development team to support commercial proposals.

Required skills, qualifications and experience

  • Engineering degree from an accredited university in a related discipline (electrical, mechanical, aerospace) or business degree, with relevant work experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in aviation; including experience with aircraft propulsion systems repair and overhaul as customer facing
  • Experience with complex contract structure
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Sound judgment and initiative
  • Ability to multitask and work without direct supervision
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence others
  • Organisation skills and good tolerance to stress
  • Innovative and focus on Continuous improvement
  • Information Technology (IT) literate (MS Outlook, Excel, Power Point)
  • Fluent in English and French
  • Willingness to be called afterhours and to work extended hours.

Desired skills, qualifications and experience

  • Knowledge of CFM56 engines is an asset
  • Handling commercial and technical aspect of maintenance repair of aero engines in a MRO is an asset
  • Quantum Control experience is an asset
  • Knowledge of airline management is an asset.
